ABOUT US
We're Not Lawyers. We're the People Who Get You to One.
Injury Support Illinois exists for the hours right after an injury, when you have questions, no answers, and no idea who to trust.
Why this exists
Here is what usually happens after an injury in Illinois. You get home from the emergency room, or you do not go at all because you are worried about the bill. Your phone starts ringing — an adjuster, sounding kind, asking for a recorded statement while you are on pain medication. A neighbor tells you their cousin knows a lawyer. A billboard tells you something in all capital letters. Somewhere in there, a deadline you have never heard of starts running.
That gap is the whole problem. Not a shortage of attorneys in Illinois — there are thousands. The problem is that injured people are asked to run an intake process on themselves, on the worst week of their year, and the people on the other side of the claim do this for a living.
So we do the first mile. You tell us what happened, once, in whatever language you are most comfortable in. We listen properly. We explain the road ahead in plain words. Then, with your permission, we connect you with a licensed Illinois attorney in our network who handles that kind of case, and we help you get to a medical provider if that is part of what is stopping you.
That is the entire business. We are proud of how narrow it is.
What we are, said plainly
Lead-generation companies in this industry are usually vague on purpose. Here is our position in short sentences you can hold us to.
- We are a free intake and referral service for injured people in Illinois.
- We are not a law firm. We do not represent you, and nothing we say is legal advice.
- We do not provide medical care or medical advice, and we do not direct your treatment.
- We do not evaluate the merits of your claim or decide what it is worth.
- We do not select, recommend, rate, endorse, or "hand-pick" attorneys. Illinois rules prohibit a service like ours from creating that impression, and we take that seriously.
- Every attorney in our network is licensed to practice in Illinois and is currently accepting new cases.
- Attorneys in our network pay us a fee to receive connections. That is how we keep this free for you.
- You are never charged by us — not a consultation fee, not a percentage, not a "processing" fee.
- Whether an attorney takes your case is entirely up to that attorney, and you are never obligated to hire anyone.
- Talking to us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Only a signed agreement with an attorney does that.
If any of that sounds different from what you were told by anyone representing us, call us at (000) 000-0000 and tell us. We want to know.
HOW WE OPERATE
Four Rules We Don't Break.
These are not aspirations on a wall. They are the reason people call back.
We call back fast, or we tell you why
Our goal is a real conversation within an hour of hearing from you, at any hour. If something slips, you get an honest explanation instead of silence.
We talk to you like a person
No pressure scripts, no fake urgency, no talking over you. You are allowed to be angry, scared, unsure, or crying on the phone. We have heard all of it and we are not in a hurry.
Your story is not a commodity
We do not sell your information to data brokers, advertisers, or the highest bidder among strangers. It goes to a participating attorney so that someone can help you, and that is it.
We stay in our lane
When a question needs a lawyer, we say so and get you to one. When it needs a doctor, we say that instead. Pretending otherwise would be the fastest way to hurt the people we exist for.
THE PROCESS
From Your First Call to Your First Meeting.
The same four steps, in a little more detail.
Start with step oneWe do not analyse your legal problem in deciding which attorney receives your information, and a connection is never a recommendation.
- 1
You tell us what happened
Phone, form, or text. We ask what you remember, where you are hurt, whether you have seen anyone about it, and whether an insurance company has contacted you yet. Nothing you say to us is used against you.
- 2
We review it and call you back
Within the hour is the goal. We are not judging your case like a lawyer would — we are figuring out what kind of help you need, what the timeline looks like, and what to do in the meantime.
- 3
You decide, then we connect you
Nothing moves without your permission. When you say go, we pass your information to a licensed Illinois attorney in our network who handles this type of case. You are free to speak with them, hire them, or walk away.
- 4
You get support while it plays out
A bilingual human on the other end of the phone when you have a question, and a straight answer about who to ask when the question is not ours to answer. Your attorney handles the legal side.
How we make money (the honest version)
Nothing on this site is free to produce, so it is fair to ask who pays for it. The answer is attorneys, not you.
Attorneys who participate in our network pay us a fee to receive connections from people who ask to be connected. That is the only way money reaches us. We do not bill injured people, we do not take a cut of anyone's settlement, and we do not charge for the case review or the callback.
We tell you this on the home page, in the footer of every page, next to the submit button on every form, and here. Illinois rules require that a service like ours not create the impression that connections happen without payment from the attorney — and beyond the rules, you deserve to know who is paying before you hand over your phone number.
What that fee does not buy: influence over your case, a share of your recovery, or the ability to be described here as the "best" or "right" attorney for you. We do not rank the attorneys in our network, and we do not decide who deserves your case.
